Zac Efron is returning to Disney and how! It has been a hot minute since we last saw the actor in a Disney production ever since the 'High School Musical' franchise. The actor is now on board to star in a remake of the 1987 comedy classic, 'Three Men and a Baby', a new project by Disney+. According to the latest reports, "the remake is intended for Disney+ with Disney's live-action division running point".

Release date
The official release date for the Disney+ movie is yet to be announced. Be assured that it will be a while till the project goes on the floors, especially with the pandemic cutting short, postponing or canceling productions altogether.
Plot
The new remake is likely to be set along the same lines as the 1987 classic 'Three Men and a Baby' in which Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson played three carefree New York bachelors who find themselves forced to take care of a baby left by one of the guys' girlfriends. In the new remake, Efron will be playing the role of one of the three men.

So far, Efron is confirmed in one of the three protagonists of the movie and the rest of the cast is still to be gotten on board. The actor recently impressed audiences across the world with his performance in 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile'. He is also known for his work in '17 Again', 'The Paperboy', 'Dirty Grandpa', 'Baywatch' and 'The Greatest Showman'.

While a director for the project is still to be brought on board, according to reports, writer Will Reichel has been hired to pen the script for the project. Gordon Gray, best known for his inspirational sports dramas such as 'The Rookie' and 'The Way Back', will be producing. 1987's 'Three Men And A Baby' was a remake of the 1985 French movie 'Trois Hommes et un Couffin' ('Three Men and a Cradle').
