'Thor: Love and Thunder' marks the debut of not just Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher, but also his daughter in the movie, Love. Played by Chris Hemsworth's 10-year-old daughter India, the movie finally sees the actor's daughter face the camera. Safe to say, the maiden stint works in her favor, and with a potential fifth 'Thor' movie in the works, we could be seeing more of India alongside her God dad.

The title of the movie is finally explained in the credits where Korg (Taika Waititi) calls Love and Thor (as Thunder) after the former is adopted by the God of Thunder as his promise to a dying Gorr. The drama-filled climax sees Natalie Portman's Jane Foster finally succumb to her cancer, while Gorr dies after his Necrosword is destroyed by Foster's Mjolnir. In her dying breath, the physicist gives Gorr the promise that Thor will take care of his resurrected daughter who is called Love after the intense battle.

The leak of the movie's opening proved to be true as Love dies in the desert due to starvation even as Gorr continues to pray to the Gods to save his daughter. He sees his daughter after his prayers go unanswered by the God he prays to. In return, he gets shamed by the very power he and his kind worship. The origin story is not as “epic” as shown in the comics, but a more grounded version.

According to the comics, Gorr was born on a planet that was pretty much hell, with starvation being one of the bigger threats. Taught to believe in the gods, his fervent prayers go unanswered as he grows up fighting and fending for himself. Tragedy strikes again when he loses his pregnant mate Arra to an earthquake while his son also dies. In the case of the movie, the son is replaced by a daughter instead. Now, there's another new superhero in the works, and Love already proved herself worthy of wielding the Stormbreaker, while Thor goes back to his trusty Mjolnir. The future surely will be one "classic Thor adventure"

'Thor: Love and Thunder' releases July 8 in the US.
