'This Is Us' is made up of a million heartwarming moments. However, what's troubling most minds for weeks now is: why are Randall Pearson (Sterling K Brown) and Kevin Pearson (Justin Hartley) not on talking terms in the future?

It seems like the time for a major revelation is close now. In the previous episode, Kevin returns to Los Angeles to spend time with his beloved mom, Rebecca (Mandy Moore). The two share a lovely camaraderie and now, in a promo for Season 4 Episode 16 'New York, New York, New York', they seem to be spending more time together.

A surprised Rebecca asks Kevin, "The Plaza Hotel?" and he replies, "Well, the best for you." The two lovingly look into each other's eyes. In another scene, Randall can be heard saying, "I've been taking care of mom for 20 years."

Kevin, however, argues, "Wrap your brain around the fact that maybe, just maybe, I actually know what's good for our mother."

The heated argument between the two brothers doesn't seem to go in the right direction. What's more, Kevin's changed attitude is a major blow to control freak Randall and his shocked expression is proof enough.

Tagged, "A rivalry between sons," the promo makes it quite clear that Kevin's growing closeness with Rebecca will spell trouble in the future. Fans are heartbroken to see the two in a fight. "How would Jack feel with his two sons fighting over Rebecca like this! Boys!!!" one viewer wrote and another said, "You guys are fighting over the stupidest thing. She's BOTH of ur mother. She cant just belong to one of you."

Since the beginning, Randall has been Rebecca's favorite son and the changing equations, the pressure of anxiety and therapy will only make things worse. Randall seems to be losing his grip and Kevin doesn't want to put a stop to his joyful surprises, especially after she confesses that it is what she wants right now. The twist might make everything worse and it is a major concern.

The episode will air next Tuesday, March 10, at 9 pm ET on NBC.
