The following article contains spoilers for 'Stranger Things' Season 4, Volume 2

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The fact that 'Stranger Things' kept every promise it made helped make it the most popular English-language Netflix series of all time. Fans were promised a high-stakes, terrifying season before the release of Season 4, and that's exactly what they received. The entire season, especially Volume 2, was filled with suspense, terror, and Vecna's gruesome deeds, but most importantly, it delivered several significant deaths.

Chrissy, Fred, and Patrick were the victims of Vecna in Volume 1, while Eddie, Jason, and Dr Brenner failed to come out alive from Volume 2. Fans were heartbroken by the deaths, coupled with what happened to Max, but they are also looking forward to Season 5. Now, fans are speculating about who won't survive the finale.

'Doom Score' points at Will

Superfans at Vengage Infographics examined Seasons 1-4 and came to the conclusion that Will would die in Season 5. The infographic's data is based on three separate categories: character archetypes, trait themes, and number of episode appearances. The infographic assigns numerical values to these categories to give characters a "Doom Score." The first category is straightforward: a character's likelihood of dying decreases with the number of episodes they have appeared in. Character archetypes are descriptions of how a character fits into the plot. A "shadow" or "herald," for example, would have a greater chance of dying than a hero. Meanwhile, trait themes—a character's personality—are employed by directors to intensify the sadness of deaths. Hence, an "innocent" or "evil" character would have a higher chance of dying than an "intelligent" or "brave" figure.

What is Will's Doom Score?

Will received the following ratings: (31/34 episodes = 1) + (Herald = 4) + (Sweet = 5) + (Intelligent = 3) + (Loyal = 2) = 15. Will has been a part of many episodes, but he still has issues because of his archetype. Chrissy and Fred served as the fight's heralds in Season 4, but Will now leads the charge against Vecna. It's not good that he has ties to the villain. His character traits don't bode well for his survival either. Kindness, intelligence, and loyalty are undesirable qualities in the world of 'Stranger Things'.

Although it is hoped that Will won't die in Season 5, this information has historically been reliable. Eddie's death in Volume 2 was foreseen in the report. In any case, it appears like Will's character will play a significant role in the last installment after an emotional Season 4.
