LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix has been criticized time and again for canceling beloved shows abruptly, much to the dismay of the fans. The most recent shows that have been canceled are Netflix originals 'Warrior Nun' and '1899'. Fans have been campaigning to renew these series on Twitter recently but recent reports show that the creators of Netflix's mystery thriller 'Dark' and period mystery '1899' are set to create yet another Netflix original series based on a book. The news has received some skeptical reactions from the fans.

Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese are the minds behind Netflix's 2017 phenomenon 'Dark', which ran for 3 seasons and became a fan favorite immediately. The nexus narrative of 'Dark' has redefined storytelling. On the other hand, '1899' promised an intriguing plot with its first season.

'Something Is Killing The Children'

'Something Is Killing The Children' is an ongoing comic book series, created by James Tynion IV. The book deals with the town of Archer's Peak. When the children of the aforementioned town go missing mysteriously, despair prevails. Most of the children who go missing never return and those who return bring back with them the horror of the terrifying monsters that live in the shadows. The only glimmer of hope that comes to Archer's Peak is in the form of a monster hunter, named Erica Slaughter. Erica believes the stories told by the children and claims to see what they can see. Erica ultimately tries to do what has to be done, in whichever way possible.

'They’ll cancel it after one season'

Ever since the news for Netflix's adaptation of the book by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese surfaced, fans have been responding to it with mixed reactions. Another fan chimed in and added, "I love both Dark and 1899, but I‘m afraid Netflix might cancel this show too after its 1st season." One fan added to the discussion by commenting, "Please do not cancel it after a season @netflix. what you did to 1899 is unforgivable!!!!" Another fan commented, "Awesome, can’t wait for it to be cancelled after 1 season". One fan added to the discussion by saying, "Sounds great. 'Don't waste your talent on Netflix'

Some fans even expressed their concerns for the series' creators Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese for doing another project with Netflix. One fan commented, "No. Not after what Netflix did to 1899. Looks like something they *have* to do and not like they want to. But yeah whatever. Will still watch it for them. I just hope they tell the 1899 story in some way because I know it would have been mind boggling_ly amazing." Another one added to the subject by saying, "Feels like it's contractual agreement that they have to release it on Netflix, because if I were them I'd move to another studio that will ensure I can tell a complete story." One fan added, "NO PLEASE don't waste your talent on NETLIX". While another fan added, "I love them. Like…so much…But why would they even bother with this studio again…"
