'The thing's ginormous': Theo James reveals 'pee pee prosthetic' was used in 'White Lotus' Season 2 nude scene
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In Season 2 of Mike White's Emmy-winning series 'The White Lotus', viewers saw the storyline follow various guests over the span of a week in the titular hotel in Sicily. While a darker side of the picture-perfect travelers begins to emerge, the hotel's professional but prickly manager tries to keep two young locals each striving to get ahead by different means out of her luxury establishment. However, 'White Lotus' stunned the internet a few weeks ago when fans saw Theo James' "junk" in the first episode. There was a debate on the internet about whether it was real or if it was a prosthetic. Now, James himself has confirmed that the creators used prosthetics.
In the first episode of HBO's 'White Lotus' Season 2, viewers saw James' character, Cameron Babcock grabbing a swimsuit from Aubrey Plaza's Harper Spiller’s hotel room. While she was searching for the sunscreen to get ready, Cameron Babcock is seen changing his pants where his "ginormous" junk stunned Plaza and the entire world. Regardless, the second season of the series has done incredible and has an amazing review from the critics and the viewers.

James appeared on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' where he described the "pee pee prosthetic" incident. He said, “The truth of it was, you go into these scenes and you have a conversation with the director and the producers and they go, ‘Okay, for this, we’re going to use a prosthetic.' And you say, ‘Okay, that sounds good.'” He continued, "I said, ‘Honestly, I just want it not to be distracting.'”
Fans of the ‘The White Lotus’ were shocked and sweating after seeing his nude scene. “He needs to be Regular Joe, ’cause the scenes … you know, it’s not about the pee-pee - it’s about power play and sex. It’s about whether he did it deliberately or whether it was an accident and what that means and all that kind of stuff. And she [the makeup designer] says, ‘I got you. I got you. Regular Joe,'" he said.
“We get to set and she’s got, like, a hammer or something,” James said, continuin, “I mean, it’s bigger than that. It’s like she stole it off a donkey in the field. The thing is ginormous. And me and the director, Mike White, are sitting there going, ‘That’s … average, is it?'”
“It was nine inches flat and about four inches wide. We were like, ‘What the hell is that,'” continued James.
“The original derivation of it, it’s kind of full-frontal, if you know what I mean. We shot that and it felt too much, too aggressive,” said James, adding, “What we came to is a bit more opaque, and that’s exactly what Mike does so well. You’re never sure a hundred percent of the characters’ intentions.”
'White Lotus' Season 2 is now streaming on HBO Max.
