'The Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Are Victor and Victoria fighting the good fight or lying to themselves?

The way Chelsea practically spat at Victor that he was breaking Adam by keeping him locked up spurs the question — is there a vested interest involved?

The last we saw Adam Neuman (Mark Grossman), he was branded a risk and danger to his own self and those he loved. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), the mother of his child, sure did take his side and wanted to sort things out with him, thereby ruining all shots at a friendship with Chloe. But that didn't stop Adam from being carried away to the psychiatric facility where his father Victor (Eric Braeden) had gotten him involuntarily admitted.

Despite his protests and cries for freedom, Adam found himself stuck in the facility and still will be when the upcoming Episode 47 of Season 48 rolls by, but his aggression towards his father really makes one reconsider if Victor is actually fighting the good fight or just lying to himself for some sick vendetta?

Based on the synopsis released so far, the upcoming Tuesday, November 24, episode of the CBS soap opera 'The Young and the Restless' will see "Victor fighting the good fight, Victoria standing by her ex and Abby planning her big day."

According to online outlets, the episode will see Victor first pay a visit to his daughter, Victoria, to talk about his son Adam, and despite her evident displeasure over it, he mentions he is not going to give up on his progeny after all. This brings to mind the way Chelsea practically spat at Victor that he was breaking Adam by keeping him locked up and thus spurs the question — is there a vested interest involved?

Spoilers also tease that when Victor finally visits Adam, the meeting goes awry in the sense that the son lashes out at his father screaming in agony to be let out of the facility. Adam eventually grows tired and dozes off after hallucinating his younger self and speaking with the figment of his imagination under the influence of medication.

However, this is also where it becomes clear that Victor doesn't have anything other than his son's best interests at heart; spoilers tease that as Adam passes out from the drugs and exhaustion, Victor just stares at him with heartbreak etched all over his face. All he wants is for Adam to get better.

The same sadly can't be said for Victoria (Amelia Heinle), who is absolutely not thrilled that their father is so keen on watching Adam recover from whatever's plaguing his mind. On one hand, we have the possibility of Victor lying about why he has Adam locked up, and on the other hand, his daughter could be lying about her own ex. When the cops trace the gun back to Billy (Jason Thompson), he claims he had left the weapon in Victoria's safe long ago and that was all he knew of it.

Victoria, too, sides with Billy's defense and confirms his claim, while suspicion clouds over the two. The reason? There was a break-in at hers a few weeks ago, and while she didn't consider any items missing, she also claims she never checked properly. The gun couldn't have gone missing on its own so come nobody noticed it?

Rey and Chance (Justin Gaston) are working on the case, while the latter's fiance, Abby (Melissa Ordway), is busy planning their wedding. With not enough time in her hand, Abby's only respite happens to be her friends. With all that Devon (Bryton James) is dealing with, the man is still ready to officiate Abby's wedding any day and Sally (Courtney Hope) is armed with designs and dresses for the soon to be bride and groom. There really is no going wrong!

'The Young and the Restless' airs every weekday at 4.30 pm on CBS.
