Huck (Annet Mahendru) is a spy. She was working with the CRM all along and the mission was to protect and deliver Hope (Alexa Mansour) who was considered to be an "asset" by the shadowy organization. Huck is also, in fact, Jennifer, the daughter of CRM's head honcho, Lt Elizabeth Kublek (Julia Ormond). Episode 8 saw a startling revelation that Silas (Hal Cumpston) was the one who killed the drifters — Tony (Scott Adsit) and Percy (Ted Sutherland).

This leads to Silas eventually leaving the group and while fans were coming to terms with the storyline, there was a shocker when Huck's past and true nature came to light. It is also confirmed in the final minutes of the episode that she was the one who killed Tony and mortally wounded Percy by shooting him. Elton (Nicolas Cantu), after finding an injured Percy while in search of Silas, finds a walkie-talkie that he hopes to use to communicate to the group.

Just as he hears Huck's voice at the other end, Percy springs back to consciousness and shuts it down saying it was she who shot him. This also confirms she indeed killed Tony. The reason is quite simple. She is tasked to keep an eye on Hope and deliver her to the CRM at any cost. With Iris (Aliyah Royale), Elton, Silas, and Felix (Nico Tortorella) already in tow, she couldn't bring herself up to kill either of them, and the addition of Tony and Percy, who looked like they would join the group was just unnecessary baggage to her.

This probably led to her killing them and it also gave her a chance to break the group. She knew she could use Silas' soft spot and love for Iris, along with his tragic and violent past in her favor by framing him for the murders, except Percy escaped barely alive. There was a possibility that she also knew the group would make wrong choices and one of them would go behind Silas and she was right when it was Elton who left to unite with the poor teen.

This makes Huck's motive very clear: Separate the team and make away with Hope to the CRM. What are your thoughts on Huck's success of her mission so far?

'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' will continue with its two-part finale on AMC right after Episode 9.
