'The Walking Dead: Dead City' Episode 4 Review: Will they survive? Ginny follows Maggie straight into doomsday
Spoilers for ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Episode 4
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It is finally time for Maggie, Negan and their crew to walk into the lion’s den in ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Episode 4. Considering the fact that Maggie’s son is with The Croat, she has taken her time planning and plotting this move extremely carefully, but will it play out the way she expects it to? Will Maggie have Herschel back again once again, or will The Croat, who is one of the most powerful villains, win this battle?
Maggie and Negan have a lot going on when they have teamed up, but what happens when they have to part ways on the same mission? While Negan is ready to sniff out The Croat fearfully, Maggie will not stop until she finds her son. It sounds almost too easy to be true, and that’s exactly how ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Episode 4 plays out.
Ginny follows Maggie and Negan
If you were hoping for Negan and Ginny to be reunited in ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Episode 4, that sadly does not happen. Instead, Negan reunites with an old friend, and Ginny reunites with Maggie instead. Ginny and Maggie have never really interacted, other than maybe a glance or two over the last three episodes. At the end of the previous episode, Ginny watches Maggie about to set her favorite stuffed toy on fire, so it is safe to say that they both don’t adore each other. Nevertheless, where there is Maggie, there is Negan, and that is ultimately where Ginny wants to be.
Ginny follows everyone as they finally decide to confront The Croat. However, amid it all, instead of being with Negan, Maggie spots Ginny. Maggie is quick to follow Ginny, knowing that Negan treats her like his own. While Maggie manages to get a hold of Ginny, it doesn’t seem nearly enough.
Will they survive?
The Croat is ruthless and tactical, and possibly smarter and stronger than Maggie and Negan, and this was proved in ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Episode 4. With Negan elsewhere, hundreds of walkers were unleashed on Maggie, Ginny and the others as they struggle to fend for themselves and protect one another. Ginny finds some protection for herself despite being unable to fight and helps Maggie catch her breath for a moment. However, things continue to look bleak for all of them as the walkers keep increasing in number.
After a bloodbath, they all manage to escape, but only briefly. Their only way out is to escape through a sewer pipeline. The only way Ginny can survive this is by following Maggie, and hopefully reuniting with Negan in the end. However, with only two episodes left, and Hershel and Negan both with The Croat, who will really survive it all?
