"We’re not just representing the people that are serving now,” Joseph explained. “We’re representing everyone who has won the uniform before us." James pointed out, “It’s worth singing about, and to represent [the] ambassadors of the army with music is special.”

Members of the US Army Field Band gathered among the audience to cheer on the field band as they sang 'NEEDTOBREATHE' and Gavin DeGraw's track "Brother."

On X, one excited fan wrote, "Okay now I’m bawling with the army members singing!" Another fan chimed in, "Beautiful performance from the U.S. Army Field Band."

Kyra Don joined the US Army to stay away from music

After the show, Kyra revealed that she initially joined the United States Army to take a break from music. However, her passion for performance ultimately led her to audition for and join the United States Army Field Band. "I can sing and I think I'm pretty dynamic," she stated.

She added, "So I decided to believe in myself. When the opportunity of me singing was ever even a thought, I knew that I wasn’t going to turn back. When I first won the audition for this job, I just remember being told, 'Congratulations!' And I fell to my knees, and I started crying. I get the opportunity to live out my dreams."
