'The Voice' Season 24: Who is Jordan Rainer? Country singer stirs fight between Niall Horan and Reba McEntire
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' Season 24 contestant Jordan Rainer from Atoka, Oklahoma, stunned 'The Voice' Season 24 judges with a mindblowing performance and received a four-chair turn.
However, Jordan who currently lives in Nashville with her husband and a dog 8 years ago, shared an interesting story on the show.
Jordan claimed she was a "woman who had done what needed to be done for survival." Jordan recalled how she was almost kidnapped in 2020.
She said in 'The Tamron Hall Show', "I knew in my gut if I had walked past his driver’s side door, that door would have opened and I would have been in a hand-to-hand combat for my life."
Jordan has released several singles including, 'Better Liar,' 'Straight Shot,' and 'Painted Horse.' These are available on Apple Music and Spotify.
Jordan Rainer's performance gets four chair turn
Jordan performed 'Fancy' by Reba McEntire in the audition round. In the first few seconds, Jordan managed to win Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, and Gwen Stefani's hearts. Later, John Legend also pressed the buzzer.
As Jordan sang, her family cheered her behind the stage. However, Reba seemed to be the most excited, after all, Jordan had chosen her song.
After Jordan's performance ended, she claimed, "It was written by a strong woman," clearly hinting towards being admitted by Reba.
Reba McEntire accuses Niall Horan of bribing Blake Shelton
While all four judges tried hard to bag Jordan into their team, Reba was adamant about turning everyone down.
Niall praised the singer, "When we turned and it all matched up, the energy in your vocal to the energy in your performance, the sunglasses, the hat." Jordan claimed she wears them because they were gifted by her mother.
Niall went on to praise Jordan and her country music. However, Reba interfered in between, "Oh my gosh." Niall claimed towards the end, "It would be an absolute honor to work with you. Please pick me"
Reba then pitched her park asking Jordan to choose her. Niall continued to interfere with her speech by pressing the buzzer. She said, "Niall is like a son to me." Blake Shelton's pre-recorded message played, "Niall is a global superstar."
Reba then hilariously accused Niall Horan, asking, "How much did you pay him?"
Jordan Rainer joins Team Reba McEntire
Jordan chose Reba as her coach. It was obvious from her performance that she would pick Reba as she sang her song and in her introduction claimed to be completely smitten by her.
Reba says, "Take Taylor Swift for instance. She works so hard to communicate with her fans- I can see Jrdan doing that."
'The Voice' Season 24 premiered on September 25 and releases new episodes every Monday at 8 pm ET on NBC.
