'The Voice' Season 24: Viewers slam Niall Horan for wasting Super Save on Julia Roome before eliminating contestant

Niall Horan used his Super Save on Julia Rome, the youngest contestant of this season, only to send her home later in the night

UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: In the November 21 broadcast of 'The Voice' Season 24, Niall Horan announced his Super-Save — young singer Julia Roome. While fans of 'The Voice' were relieved to see Julia return, others believed Niall's pick of 'True Colors' by Cyndi Lauper was "boring" for the singer.

She couldn't believe it when Niall called her. Niall provided the 13-year-old wording advice.

It seemed like a wonderful choice for the young vocalist since she could relate to the lyrics, which might be about a cherished family member or a friend. Her tone was round and pleasant, but she had trouble controlling her breath.

She still is a few years away from being truly outstanding. When she sang in full voice, the song was at its finest.

Gwen Stefani admired her emotional decisions. John Legend admired her capacity to be both compassionate and forceful.

Niall described her voice as having "character, control, and uniqueness."

Following her performance, one viewer took to X to write, "Oh no poor Julia came back to go home again I love her voice."

Another person chimed in, "Julia was saved but that song was just meh. Almost fell asleep on it." 

On YouTube, Niall was further bashedas one user wrote, "HE SAVED HER JUST TO SEND HER HOME AGAIN."

One guessed, "I think she was nervous."

While another viewer wrote, "Is it me or was she struggling with her breath the entire time .. stellar vocal regardless."

One also noted, "Wrong SONG Choice in my opinion but she did Alright !!!"

Who is Julia Roome in 'The Voice' Season 24?

Julia is the youngest contestant of the show yet she has already done so much in her life.

She has performed the national anthem many times and has been in an off-Broadway production as well as several regional ones.

Julia lives only 90 minutes from New York, so she's had the opportunity to perform at both the Friars Club and amateur night at the Apollo, where she's won twice.

Season 20 competitor Keegan Ferrell found her on social media when her original EP hit Number 9 on the iTunes charts, leading him to collaborate with Julia to continue creating a portfolio of original music.

Their debut song titled 'Childhood' received a lot of attention.

Julia enjoys playing softball for her travel softball team when she is not gigging or recording.

Julia is a fierce competitor who used to compete in ski races before opting to concentrate on music.

Will Niall Horan return for 'The Voice' Season 25?

While Season 24 of 'The Voice' has reached the Playoffs, the reality singing competition is already planning for the next season.

The show will return for its 25th season on Monday, February 26, 2024, with a two-part debut that will continue on Tuesday, February 27.

'The Voice' unveiled its coaches for the next season over the summer — Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay. Niall will leave the NBC show after only two seasons.
