UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: The 'The Voice' Season 24 Playoffs concluded on November 28 with Part 3, showcasing Team Legend. Yet, disappointment swept through many as John Legend announced that his Super Save artist for the season would be singer AZAN.

AZAN staged a triumphant comeback to the stage, with John expressing, "She was my favorite live performer out of all my artists."

Niall Horan snatched AZAN after Battles and sent her home during the Knockouts.

AZAN performed Miguel's 'Adorn' during the Playoffs. John remarked it was her greatest performance yet, while Niall stated she was "so good."

Every step of the way, AZAN battled for her position in 'The Voice' live events. She joined Team Legend after only getting two chair turns during her Blind Audition performance of Jill Scott's 'Golden', so it's fitting that John was the one to bring her back for the Super Save.

"AZAN's voice is silky smooth," he exclaimed, raving. "She has a really soulful, neo-soul vibe. But also, she's my favorite live performer out of all of my artists. So I had to bring her back to Team Legend."

"My Super Save AZAN rose to the occasion and gave her best performance yet," John said of her, adding, "[She was] literally flawless -- I had to reward her by putting her into the lives."

On X, fans reacted saying, "Not better than Kaylee sorry. I can’t believe John got rid of one of the front runners for somebody who got eliminated already." While another one chimed in, "I was 10000% sure that he was going to keep Kaylee."

One user also said, "Sorry... John but you got this one wrong! Kristen Brown should be going to the lives!" A fourth person added, "I was equally as shocked when @johnlegend

chose Azan. She only had 59% of the poll vote, Kristen had 86%, and Kaylee had 82%."

While addressing John, one viewer wrote, "@johnlegend mr john legend I wanna tell u had a great team this voice show season and I enjoyed hearing all the artists tonight and I wanna tell u I agree with your first 2 selections but I question putting AZAN in the voice live shows." Another added, "I’m shocked that the super save went through. But Kaylee was much better than Azan."

For the first time ever, each 'The Voice' coach was permitted to bring back one eliminated singer! 'The Voice' Season 24 is breaking new ground for the NBC singing competition!

At the end of the Knockout Rounds, host Carson Daly disclosed a significant twist to coaches Reba McEntire, John, Gwen Stefani, and Niall – and fans finally got a glimpse of what the Super Save is all about last week.

"The talent was so amazing in the Knockouts, so for the Playoffs, we added a new twist!" enthused Niall, who was the first to employ his Super Save as his team came up first for their last performances before the season 24 live events.

The Super Save is straightforward in its details. Each coach is allowed to call back one eliminated singer from any team and let them compete in the Playoffs to see whether they make the Top 12 and advance to the live performances.

"This year, there are so many great artists that we had to let go," she said, adding "It gives them another chance to give another great performance."

'The Voice' Season 24 airs on Mondays at 8 pm/ET and Tuesdays at 9 pm/ET on NBC
