Love him or mock hate him, one thing is for sure you can't ignore Blake Shelton, and that is probably why Shelton is the only judge who has been a part of 'The Voice' for all 20 seasons. But it looks like after so many years filled with music, as a performer and a coach, Shelton is now looking forward to a quieter life.

In an interview on 'Today with Jenna and Hoda', Shelton was asked whether he sees himself living a quiter life ten years down the line, away from touring and hectic TV schedules. Shelton says that sounds too far down the line. He says, "I hope that’s not too far down the road. Ten years sounds like way too long to me. I’d like to see that sooner than later."

What fans will see sooner rather than later, from the sounds of it, is Blake and Gwen Stefani finally tying the knot. Shelton shared that he and Gwen are looking to tie the knot this summer, "I'm afraid if she and I wait until next November, then I'm right back into 'The Voice' cycle again, and I really want to be able to have plenty of time before and after, so hopefully this summer. I think we're right here at the point with COVID, it looks like it may be OK, but don't know, so that's tentatively the plan."

Shelton goes onto add that the older he gets the more he becomes a hermit and it seems that both he and Gwen are at a point that they would like to slow down. Shelton goes onto share in the interview, "We've both pretty much taken it to the limit as far as our careers go and touring and now the television thing. It's been fortunate to accomplish a lot of things, hopefully at some point we'll get a chance to live some life. And I think we're both ready for that, honestly."

But while Shelton may eventually want to step into the backseat from a hot seat as judge, from the sounds of it, he intends to be around when Ariana Grande joins the show next season. But it's not to give her a warm welcome. Shelton in his trademark style says, "I'm excited about it. I'm a fan of hers, I'm not going to lie. We're still going to beat the crap out of her, you know, on the show."

You can catch Blake while you can, before he steps out of the spotlight for good, on new episodes of 'The Voice' Season 20 on Mondays 8/7c on NBC.
