'The Voice' Season 20 Battle Round: Is Rachel Mac the next teen pop star? Blake and Nick train her for stardom
Rachel Mac may be the youngest contestant on βThe Voiceβ at just 16, but sheβs self admittedly an old soul. Rachel from Romeo Michigan has said that in the past her quirky sense of style has made her an easy target for bullies. But it looks like she now has two superstars who have her back. The singer who describes her style as indie with folk vibes, impressed not just her own coach Nick Jonas but also Blake Shelton with her powerful performance in the final Battle Round.
The final Battle Round on 'The Voice' started with a rendition of Usher's 'You Got it Bad' by Team Legend's Deion Warren and Victor Solomon. The performance was so good that the judges felt they were at a concert, a good feeling for anyone who has missed out on live performances over the last year. Deion Warren and Victor Solomon impressed not just with their vocal acrobatics, but also with their smooth choreographed moves. But with the judges now down to their last steals and saves, John had to let Deion go.

Next up was Team Kelly with Ainae and Anna Grace singing Amy Winehouse's 'You Know Iβm No Good'. While Ainae said it was her favorite song, it was Anna Grace who ended up being Kelly and Kelsea's favorite. Ainae was not saved or stolen by any of the other judges.
The judges were being extremely picky with their steals and saves, which made it all the more special for Andrew Marshall of Team Nick when he was stolen by Blake. Andrew was paired against Raine Stern of Team Nick, who sang 'Adore You' by Harry Styles. But while all the judges agreed that Andrew gave a better performance, Nick chose Raine as the winner. But Blake felt that he had to right this wrong and therefore chose to steal Andrew. Fans were extremely grateful. One fan tweeted, "He definitely won the battle, thanks Blake for saving him!"
Up next was Savanna Chestnut and Pete Mroz from Team Blake, who sang 'Have a Little Faith in Me'. While both were vocally impressive, Mroz finally won this battle, as Blake felt Savanna was still having trouble letting the audience into her performance. Surprisingly, however, the best country music performance of the evening didn't come from Team Blake, but from Team Kelly. Kenzie Wheeler and JD Casper took to the stage with a rendition of 'Fishin in the Dark'.
While both Kenzie and JD impressed, ultimately it was Kenzie who was 'undeniable' in Kelsea's words. Adding to his charm was of course his mullet which Kelsea made him pinky swear to never change.

Kenzie and JD Casper may have seemed like a hard act to follow, but the best was yet to come. The next duo was Team Nick's Rachel Mac and Bradley Sinclair who took to the stage with Elton John's 'Your Song'. Rachel Mac, who is just 16, particularly blew the judges away and this performance of 'Your Song' led to the first standing ovation of the Battle Rounds.

Blake particularly couldn't stop gushing about Rachel and in a rare burst of actually working with Nick as opposed to working against him, discussed with Nick how his experience as a teen pop sensation can help Rachel when she makes it big, which the judges seem to think is a case of when not if. But while fans agreed that Rachel was spectacular, they couldn't believe that Bradley Sinclair, who also contributed to making the duet sound so good, was allowed to walk away. One fan tweeted, "I don't understand why the coaches let Bradley walk away..so odd @bsinclairmusic best vocal on the show so far?"

'The Voice' tonight certainly seemed to be all about the teens triumphing, as Team Legend's Riolana Doyle and Carolina Rial who are both seventeen, took to the stage with 'Somebody That I Used To Know'. With two such powerful voices to choose from, John certainly had his work cut out for him. However, it was clear that John had been saving his save for a moment just like this. While Riolana won the Battle, John saved Carolina.
