'The Voice' Season 19 Semi-Finals: Jim Ranger stuns with 'beyond perfect song', fans say he must be in finale

John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Kelly Clarkson praised the singer's skills, while Blake declared that he never heard a performance like that ever on the show

After securing a save from Blake Shelton, 'The Voice' contestant, Jim Ranger, is sparing no opportunity to impress the coaches and audience with his impressive vocals. It's fan week on the hit singing competition show, and the contestants are all set to wow their fans. The semi-finals episode opened with Jim's powerful performance to Nilsson's 'Without You'.

Jim's choice of the song instantly caught his coach Blake's attention. During rehearsals, Blake revealed how the song made him stop and think during the pandemic. He shared a story of taking up gardening during the pandemic because he wasn't sure how long it would last and wanted to grow some cucumbers and tomatoes in his garden so that if things take a turn for worse he could turn to his garden for food. One day while he was gardening, this song came up, and he paused and began thinking about his actions, and immediately stopped.

Blake also felt that Jim would do complete justice to the song considering his impressive vocal range. When Jim finally took to the stage and finished performing, the coaches were all left speechless. John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Kelly Clarkson praised the singer's skills, while Blake declared that he never heard a performance like that ever on the show. Blake then turned to the cameras and requested the audience to vote for Jim so that he can perform during the finale.

It looks like Blake isn't the only one who is keen on seeing Jim perform in the finale, as fans too were awestruck by the contestant's performance. Many fans took to their Twitter to shower praises upon Jim. A fan tweeted, "I’m watching #TheVoice and Jim Ranger just ate that song up!!!!" "Jim Ranger has to be in the finale .
