In order to get to the main stage for live performances, 'The Voice' contestants will have to survive the intense competition of the knockouts round. So, when it was time for Blake Shelton to pair members of his team for battling out in the knockout round, he decided to pair Ben Allen with the country trio — Worth the Wait. When fans realized that Ben would single-handedly have to take on three talented performers, they couldn't help but feel that he was at a disadvantage.

For the knockout round, Ben picked the song 'She Got The Best Of Me' by Luke Combs while Worth the Wait chose 'Delta Dawn' by Tanya Tucker. Ben managed to give a beautiful and soul-stirring performance which the coaches unanimously agreed was his best performance in the competition. Worth the Wait knocked the socks off the coaches with their impeccable harmony and synchronization.

It was finally Blake's turn to decide who the winner of the knockout round was. When Blake chose Worth the Wait, fans weren't pleased. While fans agreed that the trio was talented, they felt that the competition was unfair to Ben. A fan wrote, "Not fair for the single singers. A trio has the harmonies where a person by themselves don't have that. I think he done a great job holding his own!"

Another fan commented, "I am so glad Ben was stolen because I really don't like when great singers like him are paired up with a singing group which is unfair. I honestly feel they have to do away with duets and trios on the Voice. Soon they'll have an ensemble paired up with one singer."

"Wishing Worth The Wait would get sent home already. Putting a trio against a single artist is not fair, especially when not a single one of them is a better solo singer. They make me dislike this whole season. They’re great at harmonizing but not #TheVoice," tweeted a fan.

Thankfully, it wasn't the end of Ben's journey on 'The Voice'. Coach Gwen Stefani pleasantly surprised everyone when she decided to steal Ben from Blake and give him another chance. Gwen praised Ben's vocals and declared that if she were ever to venture into the country music territory on the show, then she couldn't have gotten a better pick than Ben.

Fans were pleased with Gwen's move and thanked her for saving him. A fan shared, "@gwenstefani #VoiceKnockouts thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For stealing Ben!!" Another fan expressed, "@gwenstefani #VoiceKnockouts thank you Gwen Stefani for stealing Ben Allen and I think you and ben are going too go far together on the show and I'm am looking forward to hearing your song selections for Ben Allen in the lives of the voice show competition." "@gwenstefani #VoiceKnockouts Awesome steal. Ben Allen is amazing. Go team Gwen," cheered a fan.
