The finale of ‘The Voice’ Season 19 saw the top 5 contestants namely John Holiday, Desz, Jim Ranger, Carter Rubin and Ian Flanigan performing the cover songs. And guess what, ‘The Voice’ also gave the top contenders the opportunity to debut their original songs.

Taking to the stage with his original, John Holiday from John Legend’s team sang ‘Where Do We Go’ with an intention to get the final votes from America. Before hitting the stage, John Legend and John Holiday sat together for a brief discussion where the latter reminisced about his journey on the singing reality show. For the unversed, the trained opera singer is known for his high pitch and a vast range that allows him to take his songs to a different level. Coach Kelly Clarkson felt the same and was left stunned with his performance as she praised the singer for his singing skills.

A lot of social media users, however, felt a little different as according to them it was not Holiday’s best performance. Speaking on the same lines, one user stated, “Am I crazy or was John Holiday's performance kinda... shrill? I actually found that unpleasant. #TheVoice #TheVoiceFinals” One user tweeted, “Why is John Holiday dressed as an RCMP? #TheVoice” Another shared, “Well John Holiday got the worst original song, I think? Eek. #TheVoice” One added, “I love John Holiday but this song is NOT him! His team sent him OFF! #TheVoice” One expressed, “This is def John Holiday’s worst performance of the season. He’s off key #TheVoice #TheVoiceFinale” Another said, “@johnlegend #VoiceFinale John Holiday IS...The Voice. He has been on my team for 56 days. He is definitely going places. He is so versatile and gifted.”

The contestants in the instant save round included Ben Allen from Team Gwen, Cami Clune from Team Kelly, Bailey Rae and Tamara Jade from Team John and Ian Flanigan from Team Blake. The contestants gave their best shot as it was their last chance to get saved. In the end, it was Ian Flanigan from Team Blake who made it to the finale as the fifth contestant.
