Despite the coaches saying they were feeling threatened by Nick, the very next contestant that stepped out on the stage made John Legend the coach to look out for with this round.

Cammwess, 21, from South Carolina began his performance of The Weeknd's 'Earned It'. His performance got a chair turn from Legend right away. Which should come as no surprise, since Cammwess sounds a lot like Legend.

Who exactly is this young Legend? Hailing from an extremely supportive family, Cammwess is a full-time student and musician, who supports himself by playing at bars and restaurants. Despite his father being particular about discipline and health, Cammwess was told that as long as he puts in a lot of passion into his music, they would have his back no matter what.

Cammwess changed 'Earned It' by injecting some stunning soulful jazzy sounds into it, which made him sound a lot like Legend. Blake Shelton also turned his chair around at the last moment while Kelly Clarkson opted against it because she heard just how Cammwess sounded a lot like Legend and she knew that she would be fighting a losing battle.

Despite the obvious choice, as Blake puts that it everyone "from the catering to the crew to the coaches" knows it will be Legend, Blake still makes a passionate pitch hoping Cammwess would choose him. He does briefly agree that Legend would be the better choice but says, "I'm willing to fall on my sword for you. I would love to be your coach and get you to the finale." Now that's dedication.

Nick Jonas weighed in, saying Blake is a good pal to have a good time with but then added that Legend would be able to really teach Cammwess how to do much more with a song instead of relying on runs.

The coaches find out it is Cammwess' birthday the next day, so they sing him a birthday song too. Unfortunately, they get his name wrong (who on earth is Tim?), leaving Kelly in splits. The coaches had to wait a few minutes for her to get back to them. Shelton claimed that another good reason to pick him is he got Cammwess' name right, but he actually didn't.

Legend said that Cammwess is a true artist and a force to be reckoned with, adding that Blake is who you go to have a beer with.

Finally, it's time to pick. "I'm blushing and I can't even blush," joked Cammwess, before saying, "I am so heavily influenced by John Legend, I have to go with him." Perfect choice we say. Legend can take Cammwess' natural soulful ability and elevate it to the next level.

As Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights' plays through the outro, Cammwess said he had a kinship with Legend and that this was the best birthday present ever. Can't deny that.
