PUBLISHED AUG 29, 2019

Buckle up and cancel your Monday night plans, as 'The Voice' is returning for season 17 in less than a month, and we couldn't get any more excited.

Reality TV has kept us busy this summer with Songland, Love Island, America's Got Talent, etc... But with fall arriving, so is our favorite reality TV competition series, 'The Voice'. Though it is sad to know that longtime judge and fan-favorite Adam Levine will not be returning to his red chair, that doesn't mean this season will not be as lit as the previous ones.

With just less than a month left for the series to premiere, here's everything you need to know about the forthcoming season of 'The Voice' season 17.

Release Date

'The Voice' season 17 will premiere on NBC on September 23, 2019.

Plot

According to NBC, "The four-time Emmy Award-winning The Voice returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show's new season. The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: the Blind Auditions, then the Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and, finally, the Live Performance Shows. The singers with the lowest number of votes will be sent home each week. In the end, one will be named The Voice and will receive the grand prize of a recording contract."

Coaches

Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend will be taking their seats as the coaches once again, while Shelton's beau, Gwen Stefani will take the place as a new coach instead of longtime coach and fan-favorite Adam Levine.

Blake Shelton

This season will mark as Shelton's 17th season as the judge on the reality TV competition series. The country singer is a seven-time Grammy Award nominee and has won six out of the sixteen seasons in 'The Voice'.

Blake Shelton performs onstage during C'Ya on The Flipside benefit concert, benefitting The Troy Gentry Foundation at The Grand Ole Opry on January 9, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Kelly Clarkson

This season of 'The Voice' will mark Kelly Clarkson's fourth season as the coach on the series. The award-winning singer rose to fame after she won 'American Idol' in 2002. She is a two-time Grammy Award winner and is set to host her self-titled variety talk show in 2019.

John Legend attends the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Radhika Jones at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on February 24, 2019, in Beverly Hills, California.

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani returns as the coach for this season. This would be her fourth season as a coach on 'The Voice'. Stefani is a singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. She is also the co-founder and lead singer for the famed band, 'No Doubt'.
