LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Shelton has returned to NBC's 'The Voice' season 23 show for one last time. But Kelly Clarkson, who has returned to the NBC show's chair after a long hiatus, is making life difficult for the OG judge. Kelly wins every bid for the talented contestants.

On a recent episode of 'The Voice,' an aspiring singer, Marcos Covos, delivered a very heartfelt performance and earned two chairs. No doubt, Kelly and Blake were fighting over the up-and-coming singer, with Niall Horan and Chance The Rapper wondering who would get the nod. Kelly eventually won the bid and added the talented singer Marcos to her team. But 'The Voice' viewers are wondering if Marcos was really up to the task.

Who is Marcos Covos?

Marcos, 30, is a native of Dallas, Texas. He is a photographer, creative director and owner of Marcos Covos Photography, as well as founder of Covos Haus, Covos Magazine and Covos Haus Studio. Although Marcos is a professional photographer, he has always had a passion for singing. Marcos shared that he was surrounded by music and musicians since childhood. However, when his family learned that he was gay, he had a breakdown. Soon after, Marcos entered senior year of high school, but lost all the support of his family. Recently, Marcos has restored his relationship with his mother and the rest of the family. The aspiring singer has uploaded several videos on his YouTube channel showing his passion for singing. His first singing video is from 2015 and is a cover version of 'Estos Celos.' In another video, Marcos and his sister apparently had a lot of fun singing a cover of Meghan Trainor and John Legend's 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You.'

Did Kelly Clarkson make the right choice?

Marcos sang the Spanish song 'Tu Solo Tu' by Selena Gomez. The coaches of 'The Voice' loved his performance, but only two chairs turned around. Marcos' performance was spirited and full of emotions. He managed to stretch his long notes to get a buzzer. In addition, Kelly and Blake also fought over the aspiring singer. Later on in the episode, Kelly got angry after Blake hit the buzzer for Marcos and ran to Blake's chair to jokingly punch him. Shortly after the judges gave their praise, Marcos decided to join 'Team Kelly.' Social media users, however, feel that his singing didn't deserve to be on 'The Voice.'

A user tweeted, "Have to disagree on this one. I did not care for his voice at all as it really was not that great. I'm sure a nice person though. We shall see!" Another user said, "Nobody cares if you're gay. Can you sing or not? The 'Voice.'" Another user added, "So why in the hell does someone's homosexual life have a damn thing with their talent?!?! That’s the second a contestant has brought that out this season!" Another user wrote, "Blake did that to trick Kelly... not to pick him glad he’s almost gone not because I don’t like Blake but maybe we can pick the Voice, not the Judge." Meanwhile, another user commented, "Marcos Covos seemed to have a lil glitch."
