'The Voice' coach Niall Horan unimpressed as Reba McEntire picks Alison Albrecht after being moved to tears
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Reba McEntire chose Alison Albrecht over Angelina Nazarian in 'The Voice' Season 24 Battles round.
She was moved to tears during the rehearsal round as she heard both the singers’ voices. However, it seems coach Niall Horan disagrees with Reba’s opinion.
After Alison and Angelina’s Battles, Niall claimed that there were some pitch issues in both singers' performances.
He claimed the lower register of Alison's song was a “scary place to be.”
Despite some ups and downs in the notes, Niall claimed to have gotten goosebumps by listening 17-year-old. He added, “On emotion alone, I would lean toward Alison myself.’
Reba also went ahead with other Alison, leaving Angelina eliminated from the show.

Alison and Angelina were seen performing their own rendition of ‘You Say’ by Lauren Daigle for their Battle round.
Ahead of their performance on the stage, a clip was shown where both were seen practicing in the rehearsal.
As they sang their heart out, the singers seemed to have touched Reba’s heart. She became emotional and was indeed left in tears.
Alison claimed in the clip that she would have picked Reba even if other coaches had turned chairs for her. But, it was only Reba who turned around for this singer.

Niall appreciated Angelina's singing, saying, "You're not afraid of a big song." He was mesmerized seeing a 17-year-old leave everyone stunned on the stage with her soulful voice.
Gwen claimed, "Angelina, you're 17, you seem like a fragile girl, but when your voice comes out, you're just so strong and powerful."
On the other hand, Gwen claimed Alison's voice to have an "emotional" pitch in it. However, she leaned towards choosing Alison as she could easily access emotion in her voice.
Reba was proud of bother her team's singers. However, to her emotions meant a lot. Calling both the singers "great vocalist" she cheered up her team saying, "I'm very proud of you."
'The Voice' Season 24 airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET and Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on NBC.
