The Voice Season 17: Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton PDA on the show leaves viewers cringing

Gwen Stefani replaced Adam Levine on the show but fans do not want to see the chemistry between the two on the show.

The Voice premiered its season 17 with Gwen Stefani as the new judge. Stefani was announced as the new face for the show after Adam Levine decided to say goodbye after being a judge for eight years. "For me, it was time to move on. Your support has meant EVERYTHING. And Lastly, I’d like to thank my manager Jordan for convincing me to take that meeting. 😊 What an amazing ride. Thank you all so much," Levine wrote on his Instagram at the time.

While fans were upset about Levine leaving the show, they were also not thrilled about the idea of Stefani joining as one of the judges. Even though many enjoyed watching the love-hate relationship that Levine and Blake Shelton shared, they had a different opinion about the chemistry between real-life couple Stefani and Shelton.

People were quick to express their disappointment as many stated they wanted Levine back on the show. "Soo... anyone else salty as hell that Gwen Stefani took Adam Levine’s place on the voice cause I sure in the hell am," wrote one user.

Another added, "@NBCTheVoice I absolutely HATE that they brought back. @gwenstefani! She and @blakeshelton are rediculous together! She hangs all over him..so unprofessional! Wishing @adamlevine was still one of the coaches! Not the same without him! I miss the banter back & forth with Blake."

Meanwhile, others were worried that the show might focus more on Stefani and Shelton's relationship rather than pay attention to the talented people on stage. "I might be the only one but when I hear the commercial for, "The Voice" and the speaker says Gwen Stefani is back on with her man Blake Shelton it just makes me want to come through the radio and beat the home wrecker and her man's cheating a$$" read the comment.

Another echoed a similar thought as they noted, I’m excited for #TheVoice but I don’t want it all to be about @gwenstefani and @blakeshelton even though I love them. A great couple but make it about the show and contestants." However, there were many who loved to have both on the same show as one fan noted, "Hahaha, @gwenstefani and @blakeshelton are freaking hilarious and cute together. 😂 #TheVoice #VoicePremiere" and another added, "So excited for the Voice this season just to watch how cute Gwen and Blake are." Along with Stefani and Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson are the judges for the show.
