For his 'The Voice' audition, Jay picked Cody Johnson's ''Til You Can't'. His heartwarming performance instantly resonated with husband-wife duo Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, who turned their chairs for him. Blake tried pitching himself by pointing out as a country music legend he could help out Jay in honing his vocals. But Gwen latched onto Jay's interest in fusing country with rock, and declared that she could help him explore that.
