'The View' host Joy Behar admits she wants to see a 'possible fourth indictment for Trump' over the summer: 'Dying to watch the news'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: News stories are a big part of ‘The View'. Before the talk show headed to a brief hiatus, the hosts discussed some of the news stories they were all looking forward to this summer. On the panel, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navarro, and Sara Haines discussed what they were hoping would make the headlines in August.
Behar, who has openly talked about Donald Trump’s third indictment on ‘The View’ as well as Twitter, has opened up about what she’s expecting with regards to the former president’s future ahead of the 2024 GOP race.
‘Fourth indictment for Trump’
Behar, who moderated ‘The View’ on Friday in Whoopi Goldberg’s absence, read out the ‘Hot Topics’ to her co-hosts. Behar said, “I feel like people don’t want to watch the news in the summer, as much as they have been. They are sick of it, they don’t want to see it. I am personally dying to watch the news all summer because I want to see a possible fourth indictment for Trump in Georgia.”
Behar received a huge round of applause from the audience after Behar's statement. However, Behar wasn’t done there. As the applause from the live audience slowed down, ‘The View’ co-host continued, “And maybe other possible indictments.”
'Maybe Guiliani’s hair will melt'
Behar mentioned former NYC mayor Rudy Guiliani and said, “Maybe Guiliani’s hair will melt.” ‘The View' host also mentioned the debates she wanted to see over the summer and said, “I really want to see a Republican debate between Trump and Chris Christie. That is must-see TV.”
Sunny Hostin agreed with Behar and so did the audience as they burst into another round of applause. Behar continued, “You have basically two bullies, one of them is on our side at the moment, on my side anyway…Chris Christie, even though not really, partly, and the other one is Donald Trump, so.”
After Behar detailed what she wished happens over the summer, she gave room to her co-hosts as they discussed about keeping up with the news over the summer break.
