'The View' host Ana Navarro mocks Jada Pinkett Smith for dropping 'bombshells' to 'sell books' amid separation reveal
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In an interview with ‘Today’ host Hoda Kotb, Jada Pinkett Smith revealed she and Will Smith had been separated since 2016. As this news broke out, ‘The View’ hosts also discussed it on Wednesday.
During this discussion, host Ana Navarro joked that she feels like she knows more about Jada and Will’s marriage than her own “damn marriage.”
In addition, Navarro also doubled down and took a dig at Jada, claiming the actress has a “relationship with her bank account.” Navarro also shared her take on the couple on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Joy Behar explains Jada and Will’s recent situation
On ‘The View,’ Joy Behar explained the breaking celebrity news to her co-hosts as she mentioned instances from Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s marriage.
Behar also added, “That was a fairy tale, and that ship has sailed because now Jada has just dropped a major plot twist.”
‘The View’ played a clip from Jada’s interview with ‘Today’ host Hoda Kotb, where Jada explains parts of her relationship with Will.
As the clip ended, Ana Navarro said, “Why do I know so much about these people's marriage? Literally, I kind of feel like I know more about their marriage than I do about my own damn marriage.”
Navarro also added, “I don't need to know this. I just want to watch reruns of ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ and, ‘Bad Boys, Bad Boys, watcha gonna do?’ Just leave this out of my head, I don’t need to know all of this.”

Later in the segment, Ana Navarro said, “I think she’s having a relationship with her bank account, because every time she needs to increase the ratings of her Red Table, every time she needs to sell books, she drops these bombshells, I find it unseemly.”
To this, Joy Behar responded, “I find it smart.”
Navarro also added, “Be careful of anybody who pretends to have a perfect marriage.”
