The narrative centers around Nica, who endures a tragic upbringing in a grim orphanage, overseen by a cruel lady that inflicts misery upon all.

To escape this harsh reality, Nica crafts imaginative tales featuring the Tearsmith, a supernatural entity responsible for manifesting the anxieties and fears residing in our hearts.

A glimmer of hope arises when Nica is adopted, but her newfound family has also taken in another orphan, Rigel, a mysterious and troubled soul. Nica grapples with conflicting emotions towards Rigel, who will ultimately play a crucial role in shaping her future.

The official synopsis reads, "Sometimes our greatest fear is accepting that someone can honestly love us for who we are. Nica and Rigel are ready to find it out together."
