What happens when a celebrated star has a public breakdown? In Drew Barrymore's upcoming film 'The Stand In', she is about to show you what follows. According to the official synopsis of the movie, "Double the Drew Barrymore, double the fun in this outrageous comedy about trading places. Disillusioned by her acting career and unable to escape the stressful demands of fame, Candy Black's life spirals out of control. When a judge orders her to serve a year in rehab, Candy hires her on set stand-in, Paula, to go in her place. Out early for good behavior and hungry for fame, the seemingly quiet and adoring Paula flips the script on Candy, stealing the actress’s identity, career, and boyfriend!"

Drew Barrymore

A member of the Barrymore family of actors, the 45-year-old achieved fame as a child actress with her role in 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial' and has since won many accolades including a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a BAFTA nomination. Despite a tumultuous and highly publicized personal life, Barrymore has had a very illustrious career, having been part of some of the biggest cult classics, including '50 First Dates', 'Never Been Kissed', 'Charlie's Angels', and 'Scream’. Most recently, She starred in the Netflix series, ‘Santa Clarita Diet’. Since September 2020, Barrymore has hosted ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, a syndicated talk show.

Michael Zegen

The 41-year-old American actor is best known for playing Joel Maisel in ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ and Damien Keefe in the FX Network series ‘Rescue Me’. His other notable roles include playing Bugsy Siegel for the second, third, and fifth season of the HBO series, ‘Boardwalk Empire’, playing Andy Sussman in the HBO comedy series ‘How To Make It In America’, and playing Randall Culver in the AMC series ‘The Walking Dead’.

Andrew Rannells

The 42-year-old American actor, voice actor, and singer has appeared in films like ‘A Simple Favor’, ‘The Prom’, ‘The Boys in the Band’, and more. On TV, especially in animated shows, he’s lent his voice to ‘Big Mouth’, ‘Central Park’, ‘Bob’s Burgers’, and more. He is an accomplished theater actor. Rannells was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance as Elder Price in the 2011 Broadway musical ‘The Book of Mormon’. He won the 2012 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album as a featured soloist on the musical's original Broadway cast recording. His other Broadway credits include ‘Hairspray’, ‘Hamilton’, ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’, ‘Jersey Boys’, and ‘The Boys in the Band’.

Ellie Kemper

The 40-year old American actor, comedian, and writer is best known for playing the roles of Erin Hannon in the sitcom ‘The Office’, and Kimmy Schmidt in the sitcom ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’. She has also appeared in films like ‘Bridesmaids’, ‘21 Jump Street’, and ‘Sex Tape’. Kemper has been nominated for a Critics' Choice Movie Award, two Critics' Choice Television Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Satellite Awards, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The 39-year-old American actor, comedian, producer, and writer, is perhaps best known for playing Erlich Bachman in the HBO sitcom ‘Silicon Valley’, and playing Marvel Comics character Weasel in 2016's ‘Deadpool’ and its sequel, ‘Deadpool 2’. His other notable roles include ‘Cloverfield’, ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, ‘Yogi Bear’, ‘She's Out of My League’, ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’, ‘Big Hero 6’, ‘Office Christmas Party’, ‘The Emoji Movie’, and ‘Ready Player One’. In 2017, allegations against Miller from his time in college in 2001 surfaced when an anonymous woman who attended George Washington University with him said that Miller was violent with her during a sexual encounter.

The 77-year-old American actor and playwright is perhaps best known for her performances as Roberta Kittleson on the ABC drama ‘The Practice’, and as Evelyn Harper on the CBS sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men’. Taylor's other notable television roles include the sitcoms ‘Bosom Buddies’, and ‘The Powers That Be’. Her film appearances include ‘One Fine Day’, ‘George of the Jungle’, ‘The Truman Show’, and ‘Legally Blonde’. She won the 1999 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She has also received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

The film also stars Charlie Barnett, Lena Dunham, Adrian Martinez, Michelle Buteau, Graham Norton, and Jimmy Fallon. 'The Stand In' is set to premiere on VoD and in theaters on December 11, 2020.
