Netflix is returning with the second season of its hit anthology series, 'Historia de un Crimen', with a brand new story based on a true crime case that occurred in Mexico City in 2010. The disappearance of Paulette Gebara Farah's shook all of Mexico in 2010. When police started looking into the case and investigating, it soon became murkier and murkier till the point of no return. In the upcoming 'The Search' or 'La Busqueda', a chapter in Netflix's 'Historia de un Crimen' series, explores the missing person's case, which led investigators to a spine-chilling conclusion. 

'Historia de un Crimen' is Netflix's scripted crime anthology series that tackles notorious controversial crimes that have rocked countries across the world for decades, "generated social turmoil and triggered charges of corruption and a search for justice". Last year, the first part of the anthology series 'The Candidate' was released, which revolved around the murder of Mexican presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio in 1994.

'The Search' releases on Netflix on June 12, 2020.

Plot

According to the official synopsis, "when a girl vanishes from a suburb near Mexico City, the personal goals of some involved in the case muddy the search."

Cast

The limited series 'The Search' stars Dario Yazebk, who is known for 'The House of Flowers', Diana Bovio, known for 'Ready to Mingle' and Regina Blandón in the lead roles. Names of the characters the actors play aren't revealed yet. Reports suggest that the story revolves around and is told from the perspective of an investigative journalist played by Blandón, who is looking into Paulette's disappearance. Adrián Ladrón and Alejandro Calva make for the rest of the cast.
