'The Rook' Chapter 6: Will Linda's secrets get exposed as Myfanwy finds out more about her childhood?
Chapter 5 of Starz’s ‘The Rook’ was full of surprises, which included two agents we didn’t realize have anything in common buddying up, one EVA finding refuge with Myfanwy (Emma Greenwell), Linda (Joely Richardson) paying the price for being petty before revealing that her secrets are bigger than we ever anticipated.
Myfanwy, who has been racking her brains and filling the blanks in her life to figure out who erased her memories, has turned into the most welcoming host after she finally meets him. Like us, she too sees that Nazim (Michael Karim) is a lost and scared boy who was probably manipulated into doing someone else’s bidding.
When she asked to help out with finding the missing EVA, who fits the description of Nazim, Myfanwy realizes that she is way in over her head, and probably needs an ally, and surprisingly reaches out to Monica (Olivia Munn) for help. The Agent who is visiting from Checquy’s sister organization in the US would be the last person we would assume Myfanwy wants to befriend or trust, but they do have one thing in common.
Both Monica and Myfanwy are trying to find answers that the people around them are being tight-lipped about. We also learn this episode both women believe that the Checquy is as clean an organization as it claims to be, and want to do something about it. While it seemed like their partnership would yield the desired results, things went south pretty fast, thanks to the Checquy’s intervention.
While the agents who are currently working with the Checquy come to the part where Nazim was to meet the woman, who has promised to save him, Linda who has been suspended from her role has come to the location out of her own volition. We still do not know what she wants with Nazim, but what we do know now is that she is an EVA too, and her gift is pretty powerful.
She has high-frequency emanating from her abs, which allows her to take Nazim with her. Even though her words have been kind so far, it remains to be seen if her actions will be. Despite her supernatural abilities, she seems to have been captured by the Checquy as of Chapter 6, much like Myfanwy who has just been hit with the information that she has a sister and turns out it is the same woman who wanted to save Nazim.
In the upcoming episode, she is expected to visit her childhood home and learn more about who she used to be before her memory was wiped out. The plot just got a lot thicker and we cannot wait to find out what Chapter 6 of ‘The Rook’ will reveal.
