When 'Dirty Dancing' first released in 1963, it instantly became a smashing success. Set in the fictional Kellerman's Lodge, Baby (Jennifer Grey) and Johnny's (Patrick Swayze) dance routines in the film including the legendary lift cemented the status of a classic hit for the movie. Even though the movie was released nearly five decades ago, it still continues to enjoy the coveted status of one of the best dance films.

Banking on the movie's cult status, FOX decided to launch a new dance competition series called 'The Real Dirty Dancing'.  The series follows eight celebrities — Brie Bella, Corbin Bleu, Tyler Cameron, Cat Cora, Howie Dorough, Antonio Gates, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and Loni Love — as they fully immerse themselves in the ultimate “Dirty Dancing” experience. The premiere episode featured the celebrities pairing up to recreate the iconic dance moves of Baby & Johnny, with the hopes of becoming the new Baby & Johnny. Even though all the contestants despite their very varied backgrounds, gave a pretty good performance, it was Cat and Tyler, who left everybody impressed.

All the contestants paired up with each other and began practicing their dance moves. While Cat, who is a renowned celebrity chef knows her way around the kitchen was pretty clueless on the dance floor as she had never danced before. Despite her inexperience, with the help of her partner Corden of 'High School Musical' fame, she managed to give a great performance that earned her the sweet victory.

On the other hand, 'The Bachelorette' alum Tyler paired up with Loni Love, and the duo too gave a stellar performance. The ladies were so impressed by Tyler's smooth moves that they couldn't help but give him the title of Johnny. Even though Tyler and Cat won the first round, it remains to be seen if these two can retain their title the next week, when a special guest judge will be oped in to decide which celebrity couples will make it through and which couple will be “put in a corner.” In the end, one man and one woman will be crowned the winning “Baby” and “Johnny,”

'The Real Dirty Dancing' airs every Tuesday at 9/8c on FOX.
