With each passing day, 'The Outpost' is proving to be a place full of life-threatening dangers for its occupants - the presence of the Blackbloods and their Lu-Qiri is hardly making anything easy for the humans living at the Outpost. In this land riddled by power grabs and legacies, is peace just around the corner?

Probably not. According to the official synopsis of the upcoming episode titled, 'A Life for a Life', "Talon (Jessica Green), Wren (Izuka Hoyle), Janzo (Anand Desai-Barochia) and Yavalla (Jaye Griffiths) fight to survive as they search a labyrinth for an ancient relic. Gwynn (Imogen Waterhouse) and Zed (Reece Ritchie) fight for control of the Outpost."

Ever since the Blackbloods arrived at the Outpost, they put the humans to mine the ores that the pace protects in order to look for a mysterious substance - the purpose behind it and its functionality are unknown to the humans. When the Blackbloods did finally get hold of the stone, they pass it on to Wren, who gets working on it and even reluctantly accepts help from Janzo.

Together, they then discover even more clues regarding the humans' and Blackbloods' futures together.  Is it just us or are the makers headed towards making a love affair bloom here?

Elsewhere, as Gwynn and Zed fight over control of the Outpost, we wonder if the Queen's plan will work at all. In the previous episode, she had sent her beloved Tobin (Aaron Fontaine) and Munt (Adam Johnson) to gather forces against the Blackbloods. The duo had then managed to flee the outpost via the mines. While they successfully manage to make their way out, it remains to be seen if they will return with a force.

The key player in all this is Yavalla - the one woman we can hardly bring ourselves to trust. She had made a lot of promises to Talon and the humans at the outpost about peace. But time after time, it is her people only that violate their words. For one, we cannot bring ourselves to trust this last high priestess of the Blackbloods. And it must count for something when your own daughter, Wren, is terrified in your presence.

The upcoming episode of 'The Outpost' Season 3 Episode 3 titled 'A Life for a Life' will air on October 22 at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW.
