'The Not-Too-Late Show With Elmo': Release date, format, host, trailer and all you need to know about the HBO Max talk show

Kids may know him as one of the most famous residents of 'Sesame Street'. Yes, Elmo! As we all sit in our home quarantined, we can now watch the hilarious muppet talk show, 'The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo', which seems to bring out some laughter, music and all things fun. A family experience with kids loving the 'Sesame Street' characters, adults enjoying the behind-the-scenes shenanigans and the celebrity guests on the show. A safe space of high spirits, the talk show comes to HBO Max late May, one of six original shows that will debut on HBO’s new streaming service, HBO Max. Here is all we know about its upcoming release.

Release date

'The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo' begins streaming on May 27, 2020. It has not been reported as to how frequently the episodes will air. 

Hosts and guests

The official synopsis reads, "Elmo is the host of his very own talk show and he's going to bring you some (not-too-late) fun with an all-new, celeb-studded talk show series. This brand-new 'primetime' series brings familiar Sesame Street friends like Elmo, Cookie Monster, celebrity guests and laughs the whole family can enjoy. Elmo will interview guests such as fellow late-night hosts Jimmy Fallon and John Oliver, comedian John Mulaney, New York Times best-selling author Kwame Alexander, actress Blake Lively and award-winning musical acts Ciara, Lil Nas X and The Jonas Brothers." The co-hosts include cookie monster and Rosita as stage manager.

Creators

The talk show is directed by Benjamin Lehmann with Mindy Fila and Benjamin Lehmann serving as producers. It is produced by Sesame Workshop.
