It's three days before Christmas and the Moodys are finally coming around with each other to indulge in the festivities together. But while Sean Sr. continues to insist on the importance of caroling, in a shocking turn of events, Bridget and Sean Sr. insist on each other not being a f**k up either. In fact, they bond on a higher level than any of the other siblings has so far; all it takes is a major life crisis.

Last we met Bridget, she had admitted to Doug, her husband, that she cheated on him. Things obviously did not go well, and as Bridget came home for the holidays, it turns out it was a slightly longer term than she had initially expected. Bridget tells her family she and Doug got into a big fight, but her siblings' concern for her makes it obvious that the two definitely aren't getting back together any time soon. But looks like Bridget herself missed the hints, as, on tonight's episode, she shows up at her old home, asking Doug to let her in.

Doug refuses point-blank, he doesn't even unlock the gate over the intercom to let her inside the house. It is only when a delivery guy pops up that Doug comes outside, even though sadly, it is to get the delivery package and tell Bridget that he can't move past the cheating, and has already contacted a lawyer. So Bridget does what any person who broke up over the holidays and had to move back home with their parents, would. She mopes around a lot with a mug of expectedly hot beverage as her only source of warmth in Doug blatantly icing her out. The only respite? Her older brother, Sean Jr.'s words of wisdom, which is ironic because he himself has just lost a sh*tload of money and couldn't be more under debt thanks to a little investment he made that went for a toss because of the company's boss.

At the end of the third episode, as the Moodys go caroling, Bridget and Sean Jr. choose to take a little break from the singing and greetings and sit down on the curbs, discussing their life situations and the crisis they have landed in. Bridget asks her older brother if she has ruined her life by admitting the affair, to which Sean Jr. has the most comforting answers. It's pretty shocking how it is he who Bridget finds comfort in. To help Bridget feel better about her impending divorce, Sean Jr. tells her about the $9000 debt he is under, and as Bridget asks him why he just doesn't go back to working for the father's family business Sean Jr. opens up about something that the rest of the family can't stop shoving at his face: that he's a giant screw up and a failure and he doesn't need his father to label him that once again.

The two don't really go on a parade of comforts for each other, but while minimal, the talk does prove to be quite enlightening for the two. They learn to forgive themselves a little easier and also see the other party on a more human level, which is totally not expected as Sean Jr. would never let an opportunity for pulling Bridget down, pass by - and that is exactly what makes this moment so special.

'The Moodys' episode 5 and 6  will air tomorrow night at 9pm ET only on FOX Network.
