'The Masked Singer' Season 3: Judges think the Astronaut is Austin Mahone, fans say it's definitely Hunter Hayes
Judges predict that Austin Mahone might be the celebrity hiding under the Astronaut's mask, but fans disagree, claiming it is Hunter Hayes.
So far when it comes to predicting who the celebrity hiding under the masks might be, fans have been doing a much better job than the judges themselves. And the same continued tonight when 'The Masked Singer' Season 3 returned.
'The Masked Singer' Season 3 returned for the first face-off challenge this season, and along with the face-off, we also witnessed the return of the Smackdown. Four masked celebrities went head to head and it was Turtle vs Astronaut and Night Angel vs Kangaroo. In the end, the Kangaroo and Astronaut battled it out in the Smackdown. But sadly the Kangaroo's journey came to an end tonight after she lost the Smackdown.
Right from the start when the Kangaroo performed, fans had been predicting that it is Jordyn Woods under the mask. But the panelists were way far from even speculating that it might be her. Tonight, their guesses were that it might be Lala Anthony, Keira Knightley, Blac Chyna or Ayesha Curry.
Lo and behold, the celebrity under the mask was none other than Jordyn Woods, proving fans were right yet again. Jordyn Woods isn't the only prediction the panelists have gotten wrong.
Tonight the judges predicted that the Astronaut might be either Ben Platt, Seth Green or Austin Mahone. And once again fans have taken to Twitter disagreeing with the judges affirming that the Astronaut is none of them, especially not Austin Mahone, but it is Hunter Hayes under the mask.
"OMG the astronaut is not Austin Mahone people. It’s Hunter Hayes. Everyone posting videos of Austin singing and must not be listening. Listen to Hunter, cause THATS HIM. #TheMaskedSinger," a fan wrote. Adding to that another said, "Wait hold up did they just mention the astronaut being Austin mahone on the masked singer um it’s clearly hunter hayes #TheMaskedSinger @AustinMahone."
"Image thinking the astronaut is Ben Platt or Austin Mahone. Seen both of them live, they don't sound as bad as he did tonight #TheMaskedSinger," a fan said. While another shared, "That is NOT Austin’s voice. The astronaut is clearly Hunter Haynes and I’m disappointed that no one has guessed him yet. #TheMaskedSinger."
"Jenny saying the astronaut is Ben Platt sweetie noooo #TheMaskedSinger," a fan wrote. Another added, "Me - ITS NOT BEN PLATT. She thinks she’s so smart Mom- you’re going to be so upset if you’re wrong Me - ITS NOT @BenSPLATT. HE HAS A VERY DISTINCTIVE VOICE Can you tell I’m still mad the judges can’t figure out that Hunter Hayes is the astronaut #TheMaskedSinger."
