'The Masked Singer' finale: Season 2 winner unmasked as Wayne Brady, aka the Fox, and fans say he definitely earned it
After a tough few weeks of competing against each other, the Fox emerged as the winner of 'The Masked Singer' season 2 and won the Golden Mask.
'The Masked Singer' season 2 aired with its two-hour finale on Wednesday night. The event kicked off with a recap of all the past contestants and we got to see never before seen footage of all the masked celebrities. The last hour we got to see the final performances of the Fox, Flamingo, and Rottweiler - the finalists.
After the votes were in, coming in third this season was the Flamingo. Unmasked it was none other than Adrienne Bailon. In second place was the Rottweiler who was none other than Chris Daughtry. Emerging above the others with the highest votes in this episode, the Fox was crowned the winner.
The judges' final predictions for the Fox were, Jamie Foxx and Wayne Brady. Unmasked, the Fox was none other than Wayne Brady. After he was unmasked, the Wayne shared, "This has been the coolest, most amazing, most touching, most challenging, weirdest, and this is the weirdest — and I host ‘Let’s Make a Deal.’ But, God, I mean, really I’m gonna take this with me forever. This show is amazing because of the mask you lead talent-first. So there’s no one to say, ‘Wayne Brady doing our– Shut up, that’s the funny guy.'”

Post the reveal, Robin Thicke shared, "Somebody who could pull all that off, sing all those different styles. There only a few people in the business like that, and Wayne is one of them for sure."
Taking to Twitter post the finale, fans share that they are glad that the Fox won, with others claiming they knew it right from the start that it was Wayne Brady. "I knew the moment that I saw a clip of the Fox singing that it was Wayne Brady and I'm so happy that he won #TheMaskedSinger!!! He deserved it. He's so freaking TALENTED. So were all the contestants on The Masked Singer. I might watch it on TV 2/02," a fan wrote.
"If you were shocked about the Fox being Wayne Brady then you don't know Wayne Brady. Any Who’s Line fan will tell you, Wayne can do it all!!! Sing, dance, rap, act, etc. I actually thought he should have been the genie in Aladdin. I'm so happy for him man. #TheMaskedSinger," a fan shared.
