'The Masked Singer’ Season 11: 'Bachelor' star Colton Underwood revealed as lovebird in transformers night
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former 'The Bachelor' star Colton Underwood surprised fans and judges by revealing himself as the Lovebird mask during the Transformers night episode. When Lovebird sang the Goo Goo Dolls’ “All That You Are”, the panel speculated on possible identities, including former Bachelors Nick Viall and Colton Underwood, Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and Dwayne Johnson.
However, it was announced that Lovebird would be eliminated from the competition. McCarthy's guess of TV personality Underwood, 32, turned out to be correct as he was revealed underneath the full-figured bird costume. "I worked my entire life playing football," Underwood told the audience after his unmasking. "I never got to experience the arts and music and theatre, so thank you for letting me go back in the past and explore that creative kid." He added, "I’ve had so much fun on this show."
During this week's episode, the show celebrated the 40th anniversary of the movie "Transformers" with special appearances by Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, who provided clues and even transformed into backup dancers. Despite Lovebird and Koala singing their hearts out to songs featured in the movie, their performances were not enough to secure their spots in the next round, leading to their elimination from the show.
The Masked Singer' Season 11: Clues for Lovebird mask
As Underwood has been unmasked as Lovebird, fans can now join the dots to see the reality star under the costume. In Lovebird's clues package, he shared that he's a hopeless romantic and openly confessed that every choice he's ever made in life has been driven by love. Thanks to his endearing personality, the mask also shared receiving a MTV Movie and TV Award in 2019 for the Most Meme-able Moment. This award was for a scene in the show where Underwood famously jumped over a fence.
In a previous episode, another clue about the mask was revealed as Lovebird performed the song "Home" by Phillip Phillips. Additionally, in his clue package, Loevbird shared how as a child, he had a strong fascination with Transformers. The clue hinted that the world perceived him differently from who he truly was, but eventually, he found freedom in embracing his true self.
"The world got to know me as somebody I wasn’t,” Lovebird said in his clue package. “But I was celebrated, so I ran with it. Eventually, I had to escape the cage I was trapped in and the truth is what set me free.”
Who has been eliminated on 'The Masked Singer' Season 11 so far?
In season 11, several celebrities have been eliminated so far. These include Kevin Hart, who performed as The Book, Savannah Chrisley as the Afghan Hound, Joe Bastianich as Spaghetti & Meatballs, Billy Bush as Sir Lion, and Sisqo as the Lizard. They didn't make it to the next round of the competition and had to leave the show, thereby unmasked.
In the recent episode featuring a Transformers theme, there was a double elimination. The Lovebird and Koala masks, who were revealed to be Colton Underwood and DeMarcus Ware, were both eliminated from the competition. This means they had to remove their masks and leave the show.
The new episodes of 'The Masked Singer' Season 11 will release every Wednesday at 8 pm ET on FOX.
