If you've binge-watched all the eight episodes of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' season three already, here's some good news. The period comedy-drama has already been renewed for season four!
Showrunners Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, Daniel Palladino, said in a statement, "We were thrilled to hear that for the fourth time, we do not have to pack up and vacate the premises," and added, "We'd like to thank Amazon for all their faith and support, their partnership and enthusiasm and for letting us hang with our favorite people, the cast and crew of Maisel, for a little while longer."
"'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' has been a worldwide phenomenon, and season three has been no exception, with the series' most-watched opening weekend ever," said Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke. "We're so happy that our Prime Video customers will get to see Midge's story continue in season four. Release date
Season 3 premiered on December 6, 2019, and it was renewed for a fourth season on December 12, 2019! Sadly, production was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and fans couldn't get the new dose of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel'. However, Rachel Brosnahan recently shared the latest update and said that the show will begin filming in January 2021.
While discussing The Marvelous Mrs Maisel on SiriusXM’s 'The Jess Cagle Show', the 30-year-old revealed she has been going to wig, shoe, and hat fittings. Woah! Well, she didn't really slip out any other details but did say they are ready for a January shoot schedule. "We were supposed to go back in June and obviously it wasn’t safe to do that then," she said, adding, "I just actually came from a wig and shoe and hat fitting. Literally just 20 minutes ago, walked in the door." Brosnahan also revealed, "So we are in the process of getting ready to go back hopefully safely in January, and are really, really excited," adding, "The hats are insane. The hats are out of control. We may have lost our minds with the hats this season."
Plot
The third season of 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' ended on a big shocker. After her insensitive set at the Apollo Theater, Midge was fired from the Shy Baldwin tour. Midge's reaction shows she just doesn't have an understanding of her privilege. This ignorance, combined with that motor mouth of hers with no filter, is a recipe for disaster. Will season four bring her back to her roots?
