If you are a big fan of legal dramas, then Netflix has something really intriguing coming for you all. The streaming platform is set to come out with a series titled ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ that will keep audiences at the edge of their seats and provide them with all the entertainment.

Based on the 2008 novel ‘The Brass Verdict’ by Michael Connelly, the series revolves around a defense attorney named Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) who gets sidelined after an accident and is not taken seriously. Mickey restarts his career by working out of a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Town Car rather than in an office. Will he be able to get success once again? We’ll find out when the series arrives on Netflix later this month.

The upcoming series seems to be an intriguing addition to the catalog, which already has amazing legal dramas like ‘Anatomy of a Scandal’, ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’, and ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile’.

This is not the first time that a project is being based on Connelly’s novels. In 2011, a movie of the same name was released in theatres and garnered positive reviews. It starred Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei, Bryan Cranston, William H Macy, and Ryan Phillippe in pivotal roles.

When does ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ release and where can you watch it

‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ will be premiering exclusively on Netflix on Friday, May 13. According to the Netflix Press Site, the thriller series will be available for streaming exclusively at 3:01 am EST. Viewers can download the Netflix app from Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store to watch the upcoming show.

What is ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ all about?

The official synopsis reads, “Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the first season is based on the second book in ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ series, ‘The Brass Verdict’.”

Who stars in the upcoming Netflix thriller series?

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will be starring as Mickey Haller in the series while Neve Campbell will be seen portraying the character of Maggie McPherson.

The Mexico-based actor began his professional career in 2006 with a couple of Mexican TV shows and made his Hollywood debut with the 2013 movie ‘Bless Me, Ultima’. Since then, he has been seen in several ventures such as ‘The Magnificent Seven’, ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, ‘Widows’, ‘6 Underground’, ‘Greyhound’, and ‘Goliath’.



 

Other actors to feature in the show include Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), Christopher Gorham (Trevor Elliott), and Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Detective Raymond Giggs).

Showrunners

Based on the book ‘The Brass Verdict’ by Michael Connelly, the series has been developed for television by Ted Humphrey who serves as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Meanwhile, David E. Kelley is the creator of the series.

Connelly, Kelley, Ted Humphrey, and Ross Fineman serve as executive producers on the show.
