When Alice (Leisha Hailey), Nat (Stephanie Allynne) and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi) wake up the next morning from their steaming hot threesome from the previous night of Shane's (Katherine Moennig) birthday party, the world seems like a totally different place. While Alice and Gigi are onboard what happened, Nat seems to think otherwise.

They wake up to a lot of friction in their dynamic. Alice and Gigi are of the opinion that their little adventure was great and are also game for it to happen again. Nat, on the other hand, is not on the same page. Visibly disturbed and upset about the threesome, Nat is only filled with regret and this the whole thing was a mistake. Why she feels this way is revealed later on in the episode.

Although it has been a little over two years since Gigi and Nat parted way owing to Gigi's infidelity, Nat is still nursing the wounds of their relationship. "How do you f**k everything up and still get to have everything?" she questions her.

So now, when she is at a stage in life where she has everything — a loving partner in Alice, her children, a life she loves to live, Gigi's admission to this little world could potentially ruin things for her.

But when Gigi offers to leave, Nat asks her to stay back. And by evening, the trio is delegating tasks and discussing how they will be working out their relationship.

There is something particularly noteworthy about this dynamic though. As Nat is temporarily secure, we see some sparks flying between Alice and Gigi — sparks that aren't exactly attuned to their polyamory but are individual. Perhaps we are making too much of it, but when Alice asks Gigi to hold her hand, it was more than an attempt to not make her feel left out. We had earlier predicted that Alice and Gigi will grow closer leading to Nat being left out. But so far, let's just take this journey with them. So far, they have reached to delegating tasks and we want to see where this leads them, as a throuple.

'The L Word: Generation Q' airs on Sundays at 10/ 9c on Showtime.
