This article contains major spoilers for 'The L Word: Generation Q' Episode 4 titled 'LA Times'

Last episode, Shane's surprise birthday party lead to a surprise present from Alice (Leisha Hailey), Nat (Stephanie Allynne) and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi) — a threesome.

As steamy as the scene was, several fans were of the idea that it was not a good idea — especially Alice's idea to rekindle the connection. With that, they speculated that while the series will show the trio getting involved deeper with each other, Alice would be left out. When Gigi and Nat broke up, roughly two years ago, it wasn't smooth. Since then Nat had also sensed differences from Gigi's end.

In order to smoothen it up, Alice gets them to become friends. But they reconnect almost immediately and that leads to the threesome. After the episode aired, several fans speculated that Alice would end up feeling left out as a result of Gigi and Nat getting closer.

But fans seem to have read in between the lines. Now there is a new fan theory hinting that it will be Nat instead of Alice who would be left out. "So that was obviously the hottest scene of all of the L Word so it’s a challenge to draw any deep interpretations from it aside from “omg". But I’m seeing a lot of speculation that they’re going to explore poly or Alice is going to be shut out when Nat and Gigi get back together. All totally valid and possible but my interpretation was totally different," says a fan.

Noticing the sexual chemistry between Gigi and Alice, the fan pointed out how they couldn't get enough of each other. "At the end of the hotness we see Nat masturbating while Alice and Gigi are together, with just Gigi’s hand on Nat’s chest but otherwise, she’s totally solo at the end. Then right before the scene switches, we see Gigi drop her hand and move it to Alice. I interpreted this body language as Alice and Gigi wanting each other and Nat being the one left out. Anyone else feels this or am I totally misreading what was just a (can’t stress this enough, super hot) lady masturbation scene?"

And fans chimed in. "Honestly, Nat doesn’t seem to have chemistry with anyone. And they seem to be developing Alice and Gigi a lot more than Alice and Nat. In fact, whenever we get Alice/Nat, we get some Gigi too, including their first night together. So I’m willing to bet that Gigi is the main player here," pointed out another fan. "Remember when the reporter was following Alice around and thought Gigi was her girlfriend? Maybe they will be a throuple for a while... and then Alice and Gigi will end up together," said another.

Whose chemistry is more reliable: Alice and Nat's or Alice and Gigi's?

'The L Word: Generation Q' airs on Sundays at 10/ 9c on Showtime.
