Although Kane Robinson's portrayal of Izi earns applause, many feel the storyline was the biggest turn-off of the movie. What is the plot of 'The Kitchen'?
The story unfolds with the introduction of the high-rise-like slum 'The Kitchen'. The residents of the building are crammed inside the building and are even struggling for their basic needs.
The main lead, Izi, works at a burial center and has saved enough money to move into a single-occupancy Bueana Villa apartment. Izi's plans were suddenly derailed when he formed a fatherly attachment with his late ex-girlfriend's son.
The movie also dives into the story of a vigilante group that rebels against the government's inhuman treatment of society's people.
