'The Hardy Boys' are back and the new mystery they tackle seems to be their toughest yet. So much for some peace and quiet for Bridgeport's Frank and Joe Hardy who finally seem to stretch their legs after investigating the murder of their own mother. It ended with them uncovering a sinister conspiracy. Now, they return to Hulu attempting to solve a kidnapping case which also hints at some paranormal vibes. Season 1 was received well by critics and fans alike with Rotten Tomatoes rating it a healthy 71%.
Inspired by the book series created by Edward Stratemeyer, 'The Hardy Boys' latest outing is set in the 1980s. Hulu released a teaser earlier this month that provides a glimpse of the gripping storyline in the offing and ahead of the release, here's a quick primer and everything we know so far.

When does 'The Hardy Boys' Season 2 release on Hulu?
'The Hardy Boys' Season 2 will release on April 6 on Hulu. The first season comprised 13 episodes and the upcoming installment will be a 10-episode affair. All episodes will drop at the same time on the streamer.
'The Hardy Boys' Season 2 plot
The series sees a time jump, picking up six months after the events of Season 1. The new season will see teen sleuths Frank and Joe Hardy tackle another deadly and complicated mystery when a local Bridgeport teen goes missing and a rather shadowy organization sets up shop. The official synopsis reads, "The second season picks up six months after the events of Season 1, building on the mystery and drama of the inaugural season and welcoming new friends and suspects. In Season 2, when a Bridgeport classmate mysteriously disappears, Frank (Rohan Campbell) and Joe Hardy (Alexander Elliot) drop their new normal routine to get back to detective work."
"But when they discover the mystical relic they destroyed last year is still in play, it becomes clear their simple missing person case is actually part of something far more sinister. The Hardy boys and their friends must quickly learn who they can and can’t trust as they race against time to unravel the truth, and ultimately realize that no one is safe from their past."
Cast
The key characters of season 1 are all set to reprise their roles. The all-Canadian cast sees Rohan Campbell and Alexander Elliot return as Frank and Joe Hardy. Also returning is Keana Lyn as Callie Shaw, Bea Santos as Aunt Trudy, Adam Swain as Chet Morton, Atticus Mitchell as J.B. Cox, Riley O’Donnell as Biff Hooper, Cristian Perri as Phil Cohen, and Janet Porter as Laura Hardy.
Showrunner
Joan Lambur, Jason Stone, Peter Mohan, Athena Georgaklis, Pam Westman, and Doug Murphy serve as Executive Producers. Talking about the upcoming season to Variety, Westman said, "It’s no mystery that ‘The Hardy Boys’ has captured audiences of all ages around the world.
