Netflix 'The Harder They Fall': 5 things you never knew about Idris Elba
Ladies and gents hold on to your horses as you're in for a wild ride in the newest Netflix movie! 'The Harder They Fall' is almost upon us with the western drama looking to be quite thrilling what with the star cast and the plot.
The film is based on a story of revenge as outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) finds out his age-old enemy Rufus Buck is out of prison. Rounding up his trusty gang we will see Love on his journey to find Buck as he swears to get back at him. Idris Elba as Rufus Buck
Idrissa Akuna Elba is an English actor, producer, director, and musician. Elba was born on 6 September 1972 in the London Borough of Hackney and later moved to London. After getting into acting he shortened his name to Idris.
He credits the British Newspaper 'The Stage' for giving him his first big break as he saw an advertisement for a play in it for which he auditioned and met his first agent while performing in the role. His first acting role was in 'Crimewatch' murder reconstructions and in 1994 he appeared in a BBC children's drama called 'The Boot Street Band'. In the following year, he landed his first significant role on a series called 'Bramwell'. After many supporting roles on British television, he made the move to New York. After a supporting role in an episode of 'Law & Order', Elba landed a starring role on the 2002 HBO drama series 'The Wire' which he did for two years.
He has gone on to star in films like 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance', 'Prometheus', 'Pacific Rim', 'The Jungle Book', 'Finding Dory', 'The Dark Tower' among others. Marvel fans recognize him as Heimdall in 'Thor' and its successor movies.
Besides acting Elba also performs as a DJ under the moniker 'DJ Big Driis' or 'Big Driis the Londoner'. He will appear in 'The Harder They Fall' on Netflix.
Elba also founded Green Door Pictures and even turned director in 2018 with gangland thriller “Yardie.” Through Green Door, he’s released the doc “Mandela, My Dad and Me” and series including the Sky comedy “In the Long Run".

Regina Rene King is an American actress and director. King began her acting career in 1985 playing the role of Brenda Jenkins on the television series '227' which she played for the next 5 years till the show ended. She went on to appear in the John Singleton films 'Boyz n the Hood', 'Poetic Justice', and 'Higher Learning'.
The actress started gaining fame after starring in the 1996 blockbuster romantic comedy film 'Jerry Maguire'. Her breakthrough as an actress came when was cast on ABC's drama 'American Crime' for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie. She went to get more accolades which include an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and four Primetime Emmy Awards, the most for an African-American performer. In 2019, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world. She will be seen in 'The Harder They Fall'.
