'The Great British Baking Show': Did Rowan deserve to be eliminated? Fans think he should've been gone in Week 1

'Finally Rowan gets the boot 3 weeks too late. He's been awful every week,' said a viewer

As per the norm, every week a baker will be eliminated based on how they work around the challenges that are thrown at them by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. And this week Rowan was shown the doors after his rainbow bagels and bread failed to impress the judges.

However, he didn't without making the bakers and judges laugh with his innuendos. As the team reached his table to sample the bread he had baked, they said there were pieces of sausages in it. Matt Lucas immediately asked if Rowan always liked a lot of sausages, to which he replied: "I wouldn't care to comment." It left everyone in splits.

But humor alone didn't do the trick for Rowan. Previously, Makbul Patel was eliminated. Fans thought he was robbed because Rowan's work was clearly not as impressive. However, Makbul had made peace with his exit. He shared how the opportunity to share such an important platform and showcase his talent to the world was good enough for him.

This time, when Rowan left, fans were not as worked up as before. Even though viewers expressed that they would miss his humor but were certain that he deserved to be eliminated in week one. "This one is too close to call this week. But I feel it's time for Rowan to go. He's all style with no flavour. #GBBO," a fan commented, while another shared: "Finally Rowan gets the boot 3 weeks too late. He's been awful every week. #GBBO."

"I’m behind on #GBBO but how the f*ck did Rowan survive weeks 1 and 2?!" a viewer posted. "Shouts to Rowan for making it to week 3 of #GBBO on misguided ambition alone. You will be missed," another pointed out. "And so to bread week on #GBBO Format is bulletproof, thank God, as Lucas & Fielding are almost *intolerable*. They add *nothing* to the prog. NF has an ill concealed, horrible cruel streak. Rowan was bloody lucky (& Mak v unlucky) not to go last week, struggling again this week," a fan expressed.
