'The Good Place' Season 4 Episode 6: Team humans just had a major win, but did this really tip the experiment in their favor?

Chidi was forced to become a better person after Jason "confessed" to him that he did not belong in the Good Place and that they have him confused for someone else.

Holy, forking shirtballs! Michael (Ted Danson) and Jason (Manny Jacinto) just escaped the Bad Place with the real Janet (D'Arcy Carden) without a scratch on their bodies and we are so proud of them. We are also proud of Eleanor (Kristen Bell) and Tahani (Jameela Jamil) for holding down the fort at the fake Good Place neighborhood while they were away. They all had a tough week but managed to score a big win, and we are excited. Team Humans is doing great at the moment, but until 'The Good Place' Season 4 Episode 6 titled 'A Chip Driver Mystery' airs, we won't know it the streak is going to continue.

Even the last time we met Brent (Benjamin Koldyke), he was an ashhole and was continuing to exhibit chauvinistic, racist behavior, while John's (Brandon Scott Jones) progress has not been checked on since Tahani intervened and gave him the sage advice to stop chasing the elusive exclusive. From the looks of it, though, Chidi (William Jackson Harper) and his "soulmate" Simone (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) are making slow but steady progress.

As we saw initially, without any stress or anxiety, Chidi's points had stagnated at the same level that they were when he was on Earth, while Simone, because she was convinced that she is in a coma, was treating everything happening at the neighborhood as a world conjured up by her comatose brain. However, Chidi was forced to become a better person after Jason "confessed" to him that he did not belong in the Good Place and that they have him confused for someone else. Further, Eleanor — even though it broke her heart — tasked him with the responsibility of convincing Simone to be a better person because she told him that Simone was his soulmate.

It seems like both of these strategies worked in the favor of Team Humans, but clearly they are not earning points at a pace that Eleanor and Michael had hoped they would. We need to see 'A Chip Driver Mystery' on Thursday, October 31, to find out whether things would continue working out in their favor or if the Bad Place would come up with more ways to derail the experiment.
