'The Good Place' Season 4: Dull and drab Linda may be Eleanor's 'worst human,' but who has the Bad Place picked to torture Jason?

Eleanor's is already suffering thanks to Chidi's decision to erase his memory. He will have no idea that Eleanor used to be the woman he loves, and he is in the experimental Good Place with his ex-girlfriend.

'The Good Place' is returning for one last season, and no pressure, but the fate of entire humanity is in the hands of Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), Jason (Manny Jacinto), Michael (Ted Danson) and Janet (D'Arcy Carden).

As we learned in Season 3 finale, Michael and the gang figured out that for hundreds of years it has been impossible for humanity to do anything without earning tonnes of negative points - even something as simple as buying some tomatoes. They convinced the Judge (Maya Rudolph) as much and sought permission to prove through an experiment that humanity if allowed to be in a neutral environment, can show considerable growth.

And thus, the experiment was sanctioned - Shawn (Marc Evan Jackson) and Bad Place demons would pick four test subjects, while Michael, Eleanor, and the others would inspire them to be better human beings. If the experiment works in Shawn's favor, humans will continue to be doomed to an afterlife in the Bad Place and Michael and gang would be punished for all the rules they broke, but if it works in Michael's favor, the Judge will improve upon the point system that is in existence currently. Needless, to say, both sides have a lot riding on this.

In the Season 1 finale, we met the first two humans chosen for the experiment - Simone (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), Chidi's (William Jackson Harper) ex, and a blogger who write scathing articles about Tahani. Considering how important it is to keep the experiment unadulterated, Chidi requested that his memory be erased, but Tahani still needs to figure out how to help improve the points of her former bully.

Meanwhile, the personal tormentors that Shawn has chosen for Eleanor and Jason are yet to be revealed. Will they be people they knew when they were alive or random people who would be annoying to either of them? We know for a fact that Jason did not necessarily hate anyone, but when he tried to help Pillboi (Eugene Cordero) and his father become better people on earth, it didn't really stick. Could they become one of the subjects for the experiment?

Eleanor's is a little trickier because she is already suffering thanks to Chidi's decision to erase his memory. He will have no idea that Eleanor used to be the woman he loves, and he is in the experimental Good Place with his ex-girlfriend. If they fall in love, it would already be torture enough for her. That being said, we wouldn't put it past the Bad Place to cheat again. After all, Shawn was not above picking people who would individually be the worst for the foursome to work with.

That is exactly what he seems to have done by picking the drab and dull Linda (Rachel Winfree) as one of the subjects. Her utter lack of enthusiasm, as seen in the sneak peek for Season 4 will prove to be too much for any of them to get through.

Who Jason's "worst person" would be, remains to be seen, but it will definitely be revealed when the show returns with Season 4 Episode 1 of 'The Good Place' on Thursday, September 26.
