‘The Good Doctor’ Season 3 Episode 18: Fans can't bear to watch Shaun's aggressive behavior, blame Lea for it

Ever since Lea Dilallo broke Shaun Murphy’s heart, the young doctor has just not been himself. He is deeply hurt and in pain, which is making him edgy and rude to his friends, colleagues, and even patients. This emotional spiral has also taken a toll on his work and Shaun, a doctor who can think of nothing but work, could now not care less about anything. Being so aggressive is very contradictory to Shaun’s character and fans think it is because of Lea.

One fan wants an end to her character itself, so it cannot affect Shaun anymore. She says, “Lea is a villian. Constantly using Shaun and getting in the way of his relationship just to turn around a reject him over and over. Plz kill off her character, im tired #thegooddoctor.”

We see in the episode titled ‘Heartbreak’, how her rejection led Shaun into doing something no one could ever imagine him doing. For instance, getting drunk, picking up a baseball bat and trying to smash Lea’s car. Seeing this, some fans were shocked. Expressing their shock, the fan wrote, “Watching #TheGoodDoctor and seeing Shaun becoming more aggressive after Lea’s rude comments a just so cringe worthy!”

The scene in discussion particularly is making people uneasy. “#TheGoodDoctor wow these Lea & Shaun scenes are getting brutally cruel .. and that was awful to watch”, said another Twitter user.

Continuing the explanation for Shaun’s sudden change of behavior and dealing with pain using offence, another fan of the show commented, “I have never been more proud of Shaun for calling Lea out on her BS! I know a lot of y’all want them to be together but Lea is NOT the right person for Shaun. He doesn’t deserve what she has put him through. Shaun deserves the world and all Lea does is hurt him. #TheGoodDoctor.”

We are yet to see Shaun get back on his feet and get over this heartbreak and we are only two episodes away from the grand season finale.

The Good Doctor’ Season 3 finale will have a two-part special on March 23, 2020, at 10 pm/9c only on ABC.
