Here's some good news for 'The Good Doctor' fans! ABC’s popular medical drama is growing in leaps and bounds. From the increasing fanfare worldwide to rising TV ratings, the show has managed to spread itself far and wide in merely three seasons.

In a recently shared press release, the network declared that 'The Good Doctor' has become their number one show among the viewer demographic of 18 to 49 years of age and touched a figure of 9.6 million and counting.

This number is a huge jump from its September 2019 ratings, when the viewership touched 6.26 million after the first episode of the season aired. But wait there's more! For two consecutive weeks, the show has been growing in its viewer base and has now become the most-watched telecast of the year!

Statistical research by Neilsen Media revealed these numbers and it's exciting as ever since it competed with other ABC primetime shows, like 'America’s Got Talent’ and ‘The Bachelor’.

However, this was never a trend for the show. Despite a grand reception in the initial year, 'The Good Doctor' found itself in a downward slide in its ratings in season two.

But soon, it picked up, thanks to the wonderful cast and creators, and not to mention, brilliant performances by the lead cast bringing it back to the top and making it ABC’s second-highest rated drama series after 'Grey’s Anatomy'.

Will these numbers continue to grow or drop like last year is what only viewers can decide and tell. For now, we can only hope for this story to become a household one and something that everyone wants to talk about.

For those who are alien to this wonderful experience unraveling every Monday night on ABC, here's a quick synopsis on what this show is all about.

'The Good Doctor' follows the journey of a young, Savant surgeon, Dr Shaun Murphy and his experiences at the San Jose St Bonaventure Hospital. He has some great colleagues and mentors to walk him through his struggles and learning as Shaun embarks on a path of self-discovery.

Despite having trouble connecting to the world, he develops beautiful relationships with his friends — Dr Claire Browne (Thomas), Dr Neil Melendez (Gonzalez), Dr Marcus Andrews (Harper), Dr Morgan Reznick (Gubelmann), Dr Alex Park (Lee) and Dr Carly Lever (Nicole), Chief of Surgery Dr Audrey Lim (Chang), and Shaun's mentor, Dr. Aaron Glassman (Schiff) and Lea Dilallo (Spara).

If you haven't watched the show already, you can catch the reruns. The series is currently on a two-week break in its third season and will be back on February 10.

Watch what unfolds in the lives of our favorite doctors in ‘The Good Doctor’, every Monday at 10 pm/9c, only on ABC.
