Episode 8 of 'The Girls on the Bus' opens with Sadie and Grace Gordon Greene (Carla Gugino) collaborating on a story about Felicity Walker (Hettienne Park), a presidential candidate.

They uncover Felicity's connection to a top donor on her political action committee (PAC) who has been accused of sexual misconduct.

This story wreaks havoc in Felicity's life because she is a formidable contender for the presidency, and any scandal or controversy could jeopardize her chances of winning the election.

Sadie wrote the story while dealing with challenges related to her pregnancy, as she had intended to have an abortion. However, due to the delayed delivery of the pills, she had to travel to Missouri to report on the presidential campaign.

After covering the story, Sadie faced a challenging situation. With abortion banned in Missouri, she had to travel to Illinois to obtain the pills.

As the episode progresses, Sadie's journey unfolds as she travels to Illinois to obtain the abortion pill.

Kimberlyn Kendrick (portrayed by Christina Elmore) drives Sadie to Illinois to obtain the abortion pill. However, their plans hit a snag when the medical shop where the pills were supposed to be delivered is closed, forcing them to stay overnight.

The next day, Sadie manages to obtain the pill, and they return to Missouri. Sadie's conflicted expression reveals her dilemma: while she currently doesn't feel ready to become a mother, she envisions expanding her family in the future and having a baby.

In the last scene of episode 8, Sadie takes the abortion pill. Later on, Sadie's friends gather in her room with heating pads and suggest watching a movie together to show their support.
